Palm oil

Extracted by hot pressing of the pulp of the fruit of the oil palm . Red in color, it is appreciated for food (frying, making margarines, etc.). Palm kernel oil , white in color, extracted from shelled seeds, with a high acidity content, is mainly used in industry (soaps, lubricants, candles, etc.). These two oils are rich in saturated fatty acids and are solid at room temperature (we should then rather speak of fats).

Uses:

       Margarine

       Soap

       Biofuel

       Oilcakes
